   As everyone knows, since it took power the Chinese Communist Party has been madly suppressing religious beliefs and doing its utmost to ban house churches. Its persecution against The Church of Almighty God is especially serious. Many Christians of the church have been caught and subjected to the CCP's oppression and persecution, and countless fleeing from the arrest have been unable to return home and lived in exile, with their families shattered. In recent years, as the CCP continues to escalate the persecution of religious beliefs, some Christians of The Church of Almighty God have been forced to flee to foreign countries to seek refuge. However, their asylum applications in some countries have been rejected again and again due to the interference of the CCP government, and they are at the risk of being repatriated. As of December 28, 2017, 172 Christians of The Church of Almighty God in South Korea had received deportation orders from the Ministry of Justice. This has drawn the attention of some international human rights organizations. Do Heeyoun, head of the Citizens' Coalition for the Human Rights of Abductees and North Korean Refugees, asserts in the interview that repatriating the Christians of The Church of Almighty God back to China is the same as sending them to their deaths.

     On November 28, 2017, in response to concurrent public attacks and smears against The Church of Almighty God in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea, South Korean human rights expert Do Heeyoun and eight other non-governmental organizations jointly condemned the Chinese Communist government for its many years of brutal persecution against The Church of Almighty God, and expressed the view that the asylum applications of Christians of The Church of Almighty God should be recognized by their respective host nations. During a recent interview, with the pending asylum applications of Christians of The Church of Almighty God at risk in South Korea, South Korean human rights expert Do Heeyoun said: The South Korean government has always advocated human rights, so it would not unreasonably force people onto the road to ruin. If the government does leave these people high and dry, many international human rights groups won't sit idly by. He hopes this type of situation won't happen.

     Professor Massimo Introvigne, the founder and director of Italy's Center for Studies on New Religions and the chairman of Italy's Observatory of Religious Liberty, spoke at the international conference on Religious Persecution and the Human Rights of Refugees held in Seoul, South Korea on October 23, 2017. He said that the Christians in The Church of Almighty God have been subjected to clear and flagrant religious persecution, and even torture. In the past, when reading in God’s word that we were required to be an honest person, many brothers and sisters thought that it was not hard to be an honest person and that as long as one told the truth without cheating others in everything, he was an honest person. Hong Kong's Ta Kung Pao Attacks and Defames The Church of Almighty God—What Does This Portend?

    November 2017, a series of incendiary reports came out of Hong Kong. Ta Kung Pao and Wen Wei Po, both pro-CCP leftist newspapers, published a media onslaught of 17 articles in a frenzied attempt to discredit The Church of Almighty God, a legally registered religious entity in Hong Kong. This kind of media attention occurring in mainland China under the dictatorship of the CCP would not be cause for comment. However, this occurred within the democracy of Hong Kong, supposedly under "one country, two systems." This is truly cause for concern. The freedom of religion is a basic human right protected by international human rights conventions. All democracies around the world acknowledge the freedom of religion, and all citizens in democratic nations strongly uphold this freedom, but this occurrence in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region does not bode well. If the Hong Kong branch of The Church of Almighty God also suffers the CCP's persecution, will Hong Kong's other religious groups be able to avoid this fate? How far do freedom and democracy really go in Hong Kong?

Does it have any basis in God's words? As we all know, the Bible was entirely written by man and recorded by many ancient prophets, disciples and apostles after experiencing God's work. It's a historically factual book compiled by later generations that records the work of God. Even though it contains details of the work and utterances of Jehovah and Jesus at the time, it was not personally documented by Jehovah and Jesus, and the words were not all personally uttered by Jehovah and Jesus; much of it was testimonies of people's experiences.

          News Conference on a Case Study of Religious Freedom Violations in China

On December 7, 2017, the International Society for Human Rights (ISHR), headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, held a news conference in Cologne on the Current Situation of Human Rights in China. Those invited to attend the forum were experts concerned about the human rights situation in China, representatives of persecuted groups in China, the press corps and so on.
