Since it came to power in mainland China in 1949, the Chinese Communist Party has been relentless in its persecution of religious faith. It has frantically arrested and murdered Christians, expelled and abused missionaries operating in China, confiscated and destroyed countless copies of the Bible, sealed up and demolished church buildings, and vainly attempted to eradicate all house churches. "The Exchange: Account of an Interrogation" (6) - How Christians Respond to the CCP's "Family Bait"
Introduction
When the CCP does not meet with success in its attempts to force Christians to forsake God through their cruel torture and brainwashing and conversion, they then exploit their family members as bait to test them. Faced with these lowly tricks, how do Christians stand firm and righteous, refuting them? And what admonition do they have to give?
Why Does the Chinese Communist Party Force Christians to Join the Three-Self Church?
Hou Xiangke: (Chief of the Public Security Bureau): Han Lu, you must know that the Communist Party is an atheist party and started out from revolution. The Communist Party is most inimical to God and God's word. The truth that you accept and the path that you walk are hated the most by the Communist Party. You are an eyesore and a thorn in the side for the Communist Party. Therefore, the Communist Party will severely repress you, punish you, and ban you! In China, you must follow the leadership of the Communist Party when you believe in God, accept the Communist Party's United Front, join the Three-Self Church, and take the path of love for country and religion. Aside from this, there is no way out! Have you seen through these matters?
The Church of Almighty God Christians Ring in the New Year With French Friends
On February 18, 2018, precisely during a traditional Chinese holiday—Spring Festival—Christians from The Church of Almighty God in France held a New Year's celebration with the theme of “gratitude” in the parish activity center of the Saint-Germain Church in Vitry-sur-Seine, Paris. This was the first local New Year's event hosted by these Christians since being forced to flee to France after suffering brutal oppression by the Chinese government. They wanted to use this opportunity to extend their thanks to their French friends who had helped them and shown their concern. The event also provided an excellent platform for those in attendance to further understand the truth of the persecution of Christians from The Church of Almighty God by the Chinese government.
Šorytė: If the Persecuted Christians Are Repatriated to Their Homeland, It Is Utterly a Crime!
On October 23, 2017, at a meeting on "Religious Freedom and Refugee Human Rights" held in South Korea, Ms. Rosita Šorytė, who had represented the Interim Lithuanian President as Chairman of the EU Working Group on Humanitarian Assistance, stated in her speech, "According to the 2004 Guidelines of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the 1987 UN Refugee Convention, for a persecuted religious group, members of The Church of Almighty God (CAG) have clearly been subject to the persecution of torture, a higher severity of iniquity than social persecution, thus more deserving of being granted refugee status." Šorytė mentioned that the Republic of Korea is a respected democracy that has also signed and ratified the 1951 Refugee Convention and the 1967 Protocol. It should fulfill its responsibilities in accordance with these international documents. If the persecuted Christians of CAG are repatriated to mainland China, it is utterly a crime!

As everyone knows, since it took power the Chinese Communist Party has been madly suppressing religious beliefs and doing its utmost to ban house churches. Its persecution against The Church of Almighty God is especially serious. Many Christians of the church have been caught and subjected to the CCP's oppression and persecution, and countless fleeing from the arrest have been unable to return home and lived in exile, with their families shattered. In recent years, as the CCP continues to escalate the persecution of religious beliefs, some Christians of The Church of Almighty God have been forced to flee to foreign countries to seek refuge. However, their asylum applications in some countries have been rejected again and again due to the interference of the CCP government, and they are at the risk of being repatriated. As of December 28, 2017, 172 Christians of The Church of Almighty God in South Korea had received deportation orders from the Ministry of Justice. This has drawn the attention of some international human rights organizations. Do Heeyoun, head of the Citizens' Coalition for the Human Rights of Abductees and North Korean Refugees, asserts in the interview that repatriating the Christians of The Church of Almighty God back to China is the same as sending them to their deaths.
Massimo Introvigne's speech during the discussion section
Professor Massimo Introvigne, the founder and director of Italy's Center for Studies on New Religions and the chairman of Italy's Observatory of Religious Liberty, spoke at the international conference on Religious Persecution and the Human Rights of Refugees held in Seoul, South Korea on October 23, 2017. He said that the Christians in The Church of Almighty God have been subjected to clear and flagrant religious persecution, and even torture. However, their status as refugees has not been recognized by civilized countries such as South Korea, and one of the critical reasons for that is that the black propaganda and fake news from the Chinese Communist Party and some Christian groups regarding The Church of Almighty God have had a negative impact. The Church of Almighty God is a typical victim of this kind of black propaganda and fake news. Professor Introvigne called on human rights organizations, the press, as well as experts and scholars on emerging religious movements and in the humanitarian realm to work to reveal the truth.
