The Church of Almighty God | Hymn | A Lament for a Tragic World

The Church of Almighty God,Eastern Lightning,Hymn
  •   A Lament for a Tragic World
  • Hymn
  • A Lament for a Tragic World
  • I
  • Drifting through time, passing life.
  • The years turn like a dream.
  • Rushing around for fame and wealth.
  • Lives spent for things of flesh.
  • Nothing has been given to the truth
  • Days, months, and years
  • just pass like this.
  • No thought of God's own sufferings
  • or His great loveliness.
  • Just idly passing empty days.
  • Not one day lived for God.
  • Never cause God's lips to smile.
  • Hollow and nothing special.
  • Who has understood God's heart?
  • Who can share with God
  • life and death?
  • Who has treasured all His words?
  • Who has devoted to God their all?
  • When will spring flowers
  • pause their blooming?
  • True love is here in this world.
  • Sorrow and joy, ups and downs.
  • Circle of seasons, going on and on.
  • God's been forsaken year after year.
  • What a tragic world!
  • II
  • Man has his home, a place of ease.
  • Yet God has no place to rest His head.
  • How many offer themselves up?
  • He's had His fill of the cold,
  • endured the whole world's suffering—
  • a hard road to understanding.
  • Anxious for man,
  • God bustles among them
  • and works on, tirelessly.
  • Though seasons come and go,
  • He gives all for humanity.
  • Who understands the will of God?
  • Who's ever asked after His comfort?
  • How man demands from God!
  • Never give thoughts to His will.
  • Enjoy happy family life,
  • but why do they make Him weep?
  • When will spring flowers
  • pause their blooming?
  • True love is here in this world.
  • Sorrow and joy, ups and downs.
  • Circle of seasons, going on and on.
  • God's been forsaken year after year.
  • What a tragic world!
