- Hymn
- God Has the Best Intentions
- I
- I have chosen to love God,
- I'd obey whatever He takes.
- I give no word of complaint,
- despite the touch of pain.
- The wanton freedom of man
- deserves God's discipline.
- The rebellion is my own,
- God's will I shouldn't mistake.
- Though the hardships are a lot,
- it's a blessing to have God's love.
- Hardship taught me to obey;
- God has the best, the best intentions.
- II
- Worry about whether or not
- my love will satisfy God.
- I dare not slow down a bit;
- do my best to be loyal to God.
- Live with God day after day,
- I see how lovely He is.
- In my contact with Him,
- there're more than a few rebellions.
- Though the hardships are a lot,
- it's a blessing to have God's love.
- Hardship taught me to obey;
- God has the best, the best intentions.
- III
- Accept the searching of God,
- I know more of my corruption.
- Open my heart to fellowship,
- truth becomes crystal clear.
- I tremble at the thought of
- offending His disposition.
- I shall be cautious not to rebel,
- to cause Him pain.
- Though the hardships are a lot,
- it's a blessing to have God's love.
- Hardship taught me to obey;
- God has the best, the best intentions.
- IV
- Though I have learned to love God,
- I always feel far from His will.
- I must strive to make progress
- to get where Peter had reached.
- My sole wish is to please God,
- however He thinks of my love.
- Though the hardships are a lot,
- it's a blessing to have God's love.
- Though the hardships are a lot,
- it's a blessing to have God's love.
- Hardship taught me to obey;
- God has the best, the best intentions.
